NNormal, the new outdoor sportswear brand  born from the partnership between Kilian Jornet and Camper presented its first product some weeks ago, the trail running shoe Kjerag. Today, NNormal presents Tomir, a trail running shoe created for every adventure.

Tomir is a 1,103m (3,619ft) mountain in the north-east of Serra de Tramuntana, on the Spanish island of Mallorca. Offering stunning 360-degree views – from the island’s northern coast to lush western plains to southern mountain summits – Tomir attracts a huge range of outdoor enthusiasts.

From tricky traverses to mythical limestone formations, moving scree slopes to changeable weather – Tomir is a mountain that packs a lot in. Those were the elements that inspired NNormal to name its latest range of shoes after it. Born from the passion for the outdoors, Tomir is the perfect shoe for hitting advanced trail running routes, weekend race-prep training – and just about every other activity.

DESIGNED WITH ATHLETES

NNormal collaborates with some of the world’s best runners, who also contribute with the gear design. Kilian Jornet tested Tomir’s prototypes at every stage, and worked in tandem with NNormal’s design team to tweak and improve, hone and streamline, to create the perfect shoe for just about every outdoor activity. From gravel to grass, weekend hikes to intensely technical trail runs, Tomir delivers on every terrain, at every level.

ONE FAMILY. THREE SHOES

The Tomir family includes three different shoe models with different colours in each model. First, there’s Tomir, the standard-cut trail running and outdoor activity shoe, made for just about everything. Tomir Waterproof is the second model, which has the same cut but it is waterproof, made with a highly breathable Sympatex® membrane that’s as planet-friendly as it is high-performing. Finally, there’s Tomir Boot Waterproof, the higher ankle-cut boot version, made for extra support while hiking, that’s also waterproof.

Together, these three models live up to Tomir’s promise: whatever takes you outside, whatever keeps you moving – there’s a shoe within this family for you.

TECHNOLOGIES

Tomir packs in multiple tech into its lightweight form. But here are three stand-out highlights:

• VIBRAM® Megagrip + Litebase

The VIBRAM® Megagrip sole is made for sand and sun, roots and rocks. In every condition, across every terrain. The VIBRAM® Litebase outsole is also thinner by about 50%, and lighter by up to 30%. All without altering the stability of the 5mm lugs.

• Durable upper

The upper is a unique blend of monofilament polyester and TPE. That makes it resistant to abrasion and snag. It’s also craft-stitched onto the midsole, which adds to the shoe’s planet-friendly durability. Asymmetrical lacing increases support and reduces pressure points.

• EVA midsole

The EVA foam midsole offers lighter weight, supreme cushioning, and step-enhancing rebound – with a 31/23mm stack height and 8mm drop.

• Sympatex® waterproof membrane

For the waterproof Tomir models, NNormal partnered with Sympatex. The PES membrane is 100% waterproof, 100% windproof, very breathable, and extra durable. It’s also bluesign®-certified (proving its safety and sustainability), recyclable, and free of harmful PTFEs and PFCs.
